Pastor James Ng'ang'a granted bail

Senior resident magistrate Timothy Tanchu stated that the prosecution did not give convincing reasons to deny the accused bail.

 

Televangelist James Nga'ang'a has been  granted bail of Sh1,000,000 over a fatal accident on July 26 that killed Mercy Njeri and injured her husband.

He was charged on the four accounts; dangerous driving, giving false information to the police, conspiring to defeat justice and failing to report an accident.

Simon Kuria, Kenya Police Air wing inspector Christopher Nzioka and Officer Patrick Baya were also granted bail of Sh100,000 each.

Ng'ang'a denied charges including conspiring against justice, causing death by dangerous driving, giving false information and failing to report an accident.

Kuria, who presented himself as the driver of the Range Rover involved in the crash, denied charges of giving false information to the police.
