The cleric commended Jonathan for conceding defeat to Buhari. He added that Jonathan deserved commendation for curbing terrorism.

Olayinka urged Christians to adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ as this was the only way God could make the nation great.

The statement added, “While commenting on the state of the nation, Bishop Olayinka said the thought of God towards our nation is great, but due to corruption, bad politics, wickedness, selfishness, lack of religious tolerance and lack of fear of God, Nigeria is what it is today.”

He commended the courage and humility of President Jonathan for accepting the presidential election result without rancour, saying it was a demonstration of maturity.
