The Bishop of Ogbomoso Diocese (Anglican Communion),Titus Olayinka, has urged President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari to focus on job creation and poverty alleviation when he takes over power from outgoing President, Goodluck Jonathan.

The cleric commended Jonathan for conceding defeat to Buhari, he added that Jonathan deserved commendation for curbing terrorism
According to Punch, Rt. Rev. Olayinka said this in a statement on Sunday while speaking at the church's second session of the third synod.
While speaking on the these, “The Cost of Christian commitment,” the cleric prayed that Buhari would be able to fulfill his numerous promises.
In the statement, “He (Olayinka) lamented the rate of unemployment which is growing higher while tertiary institutions keep producing graduates who are pushed into the labour market without the hope of getting gainful employment.
“He charged the leadership of the nation on the dangerous trends and threats these posed to the security and stability of the nation.”
The cleric commended Jonathan for conceding defeat to Buhari. He added that Jonathan deserved commendation for curbing terrorism.
Olayinka urged Christians to adhere to the teachings of Jesus Christ as this was the only way God could make the nation great.
The statement added, “While commenting on the state of the nation, Bishop Olayinka said the thought of God towards our nation is great, but due to corruption, bad politics, wickedness, selfishness, lack of religious tolerance and lack of fear of God, Nigeria is what it is today.”
He commended the courage and humility of President Jonathan for accepting the presidential election result without rancour, saying it was a demonstration of maturity.
