The Redeemed Christian Church of God has denied supporting the law professor who heads the Olive Parish, in Banana Island, Lagos
According to reports, Muhammadu Buhari's running mate in the upcoming 2015 presidential elections, Yemi Osinbajo was reportedly given a go-ahead by pastor Adeboye, fully supporting his political ambition.
Prof. Osinbajo, a former Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice who is said to be Adeboye’s close ally, was named on Wednesday by APC as the vice-presdiential candidate of the party.
However, RCCG has denied supporting the law professor who heads the Olive Parish, in Banana Island, Lagos.
The church on its official Twitter page said it does not 'dabble into politics' in any shade or coloration.
“We are a mission and we do not meddle in politics,” the RCCG stated while urging Nigerians to be wary of fictitious and misleading social media accounts dragging its name into the murky waters of politics.
