President Goodluck Jonathan in a statement through his special adviser on Media and Publicity condoled the family of the late spiritual leader and described him as a great servant of God.
President Goodluck Jonathan has commiserated with the death of the spiritual leader of Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Prophet Gabriel Fakeye.
Prophet Fakeye popularly called G.O. Fakeye reportedly died on Sunday, January 11 at the age of 78.
The President through his special adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati expressed sadness over the death of the spiritual leader and extended condolences to his family, his church and the Christian community.
He described the late cleric as a great servant of God who motivated his followers and other Nigerians with his exemplary lifestyle and moral conduct.
“President Goodluck Jonathan has received with sadness, news of the death of Prophet Gabriel Olubunmi Fakeye, the spiritual leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church,” part of the statement reads.
“President Jonathan extends heartfelt condolences to Prophet Fakeye’s family, members of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church and the Christian community in Nigeria on the demise of the great servant of God. The President joins them in mourning the revered spiritual leader who greatly inspired and motivated his followers and other Nigerians with his vibrant elucidation of the Word of God as well as his exemplary lifestyle and moral conduct,” the statement reads.
