Mother Theresa to be canonised in September 2016

This is coming 19 years after her death.

Mother Theresa, who died in 1997 at the age of 87, dedicated her life to helping the poor through the missionaries of charity.

The announcement was made during a meeting with cardinals to give the final approval to several sainthood causes.

Most recently, the Vatican announced that Pope Francis would visit Pakistan later this year (2016).

Pope Francis on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 told pilgrims at the St. Peter Square that the church does not want money earned illegally as an offering in church.
