She quoted from a scripture she called her favourite-Acts 17:28, which reads, 'In God, I move and breathe and have my being.'
Winfrey, while referring to her favourite scripture, said that this commitment towards a spiritual life is what kept her strong throughout the years.
She also encouraged her audience to start keeping a gratitude journal. She said she started the practice in the late 1980s.
Winfrey also asked students to make a conscious commitment to be kind to others.
The 2015 edition of “Harry’s last lecture” is annual lecture in honor of the late Professor Harry Rathburn, a former faculty member at Stanford Law School. This year's edition was held at the Stanford University's Memorial Church.
