Terrorist Group Beheads British Aid Worker

The terrorist group, Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has released a video showing the apparent beheading of British aid worker, Alan Henning

The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has continued its war against the Western world as it has released a video showing the apparent beheading of British aid worker, Alan Henning.

Henning is the second Brit to be beheaded after the group killed another aid worker, David Haines, also from the UK, and 2 Americans, James Foley and Steven Sotloff.

The aid worker, a 47-year-old father-of-two, was kidnapped on December 26, 2013 as he delivered aid to Syrian refugees.

The video followed the usual pattern of ISIS beheading video as the United Kingdom was blamed for Henning’s death due to its participation in the U.S.-led bombing campaign against the group.

Before his death, Henning reportedly said:

'I am Alan Henning. Because of our parliament’s decision to attack the Islamic state I as a member of the British public will now pay the price for that decision.'

While his murderer, apparently a Brit himself, said:

'The blood of David Haines was on your hands Cameron, Alan Henning will also be slaughtered but his blood is on the hands of the British parliament.'

UK Prime Minister David Cameron, in response to the video said:

"The brutal murder of Alan Henning by ISIL shows just how barbaric and repulsive these terrorists are.”

"Alan had gone to Syria to help get aid to people of all faiths in their hour of need," Cameron said. "The fact that he was taken hostage when trying to help others and now murdered demonstrates that there are no limits to the depravity of these ISIL terrorists."

In its usual fashion, ISIS shows yet another foreign captive at the end of the video, American aid worker, Peter Kassig, and warns that he will be next.

CNN reports that Kassig worked as a medic and was en route to Deir Ezzor in Northern Syria when he was kidnapped on October 1, 2013.

American intelligence officials have said that they are studying the video but that there’s no reason to doubt its authenticity.
