Female Evangelist commits suicide over husband's inability to perform conjugal duties

The woman who pastored at a prominent church in the area where she resided had complained bitterly to her relations about her husband’s “weakness” during sexual intercourse

 

A female evangelist identified as Nancy (surname withheld) has committed suicide over her husband's inability to fulfil his marital duties.

The 32-year-old woman who was from the Okpanam Community, near Asaba area of the state had reportedly stabbed herself to death over the weekend.

According to Leadership, the woman who pastored at a prominent church in the area where she resided had complained bitterly to her relations about her husband’s “weakness” during sexual intercourse, threatening that she cannot stand it anymore.

Sources say Nancy never had premarital sex with her husband - a highly placed mechanical engineer, but was said to have been frustrated when the situation persisted.

It was gathered that trouble had started last Saturday night after the husband reportedly failed to perform again; and she allegedly took the decision to kill herself by stabbing herself in the stomach.

Police officers at the Okpanam Police Division, who confirmed the incident but did not want their names in the print, said they saw her lifeless body in her room after the husband had gone to work.

No arrest had yet been made at the time of filing this report as investigation was ongoing.
