Woman who says she's an 'ambassador for God and Jesus Christ' sues all gay people in America

A self-acclaimed ambassador for God and His Son Jesus Christ is suing all gay people in America.

66-yr-old Sylvia Driskell was said to have filed a federal lawsuit against all homosexuals in the US at the District Court of Omaha, Nebraska, on Friday, according to the Journal Star.

Mirror UK reports that Driskell submitted a handwritten, seven-page letter titled "Sylvia Ann Driskell vs Homosexuals", featuring passages from the Bible as well as dictionary definitions.

The main objective of Mrs Driskell's lawsuit is, seemingly, to implore US District Judge John M. Gerrard to recognise homosexuality as an abomination or "sin".

However, it doesn't cite any case law under which he could make such a ruling.

In the petition, she wrote: “I, Sylvia Ann Driskell, ambassador for the plaintiffs – God and His son, Jesus Christ – petition your honor and the court to be heard in the matter of homosexuality.

“Is homosexuality a sin or not a sin?”

Referring to passages from Leviticus and Romans, she points out that God saw homosexuality as an "abomination" before slamming gay rights and same-sex marriage.

In addition, she highlights the Webster's Dictionary definition of sin as the "wilful breaking of a religious or moral law", suggesting it backs up her argument.

Mrs Driskell, from Auburn, added: “I’m sixty-six years old and never thought I would see the day in which our great nation or our great state of Nebraska would become so compliant to the complicity of some people’s lewd behaviour.”

A court spokesman told NBC News that "no summons was issued".

It was gathered that  Steven Payne, an openly gay man had written a piece on the lawsuit for blog site, The Daily Kos, where he told how he and his husband Brian are being sued.

Presumably joking, he wrote: "Brian and I will be liquidating our assets in preparation for a certain loss.

"We anticipate the restitution ordered to this woman will take us down to our very last penny.

"In the meantime, our fear is so great we have ceased and desisted being homosexual."
