Have no fear for God is in control

Fear is a very strong negative emotion, capable of crippling even the strongest of persons.

Knowing this, it only makes sense that God would want us to let go of this feeling, because it does mostly harm.

The Bible is filled with at least 40 verses, that encourage us to drop the fear, and put our faith and trust in God, who is always in control of every situation.

Isaiah 43:1 tells us, "But now, this is what the LORD says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."

Deuteronomy 31: 6 also says, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

However, fear does not always have to be a bad thing, accompanied by terror, fright and so on.

It can be something that pushes you to greatness, because your trust and faith in God outweighs the negative emotion.

Proverbs 29:25 confirms this, "Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe."

In order to never give into the fear, we have to always remember that we are children of God, thus, fear has no stronghold on us.

2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."

Psalm 27: 1 goes on to say, "The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?"

This further confirmed in Psalm 118: 6, "The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?"

Let us always remember that God is in control, therefore fear has no place in our lives.
