If at first you don’t succeed
This is an exclusive Pulse blogpost by British-Ghanaian television presenter and actress, Peace Hyde.
If you focus on the results you will never change but if you focus on change, you will get the results. Change is the only constant in the world and it can be a tough thing to cope with. As humans we are creatures of habit. We love our comfort zones and crave the uniformity of life.
If a change happens suddenly, most of us struggle to adjust quickly to that change. It is important to note that not all change is good news. Usually, the negative change agents are the most difficult to cope with.
Determination is moving from one failure to the other with the same level of enthusiasm. Sometimes all you need is a positive outlook on life to turn things around. You may not be where you want to be, but you are right where God needs you to be for your break through.
Sometimes having the patience to endure a difficult situation is all you need to overcome a difficult set back. If you initially fail at something, please do not give in or give up. Just pick yourself up and keep on trying over and over again until you succeed.
I have experienced several changes in plans due to failure, some good and some bad, and they have all moulded me to become who I am today. I realize that as time progresses, there will be more incidents that will shake up my world, but what I always remember is that, if the past changes did not affect me and God has brought me this far, then the present or future changes will also come and go.
If at first you do not succeed, simply accept the change, dust your self off and keep pushing forward. Any disappointments that come your way indicate a new change in direction. It is your destiny realigning itself to place you on your path to greatness.
Faith builders, the faith walk dictates that you have absolute confidence that no matter what happens, be it failure or success, so long as you are still here, then you have yet another opportunity to learn and improve. Learn to view every failure as a change.
A new beginning to get things right. A new chance to re write the wrongs of yesterday and draw the perfect picture of tomorrow. If you are alive today, that means that God has not finished with you yet, no matter your personal circumstances.
He will surely see you to an expected end and remember, no matter what you do, be yourself because everyone else is taken.
Much love,
Peace Hyde.
