Africa has a soul

It's important I do, it's important I inspire the term "new age" through this voice I've picked us as one my tools of change.

I want to be one with the people. Africa is home. There's so much going on it's unbelievable really. Every conversation around me seems to be pointed into one direction, a direction towards retribution of everything we've lost for centuries. They've dug us into the pits of civilization, our skin isn't worthy of the sun.

Things can be very black when you're not allowed to express your shades. Read the history of Africa, read the pain we've gone through, scum of humanity but no more.

If there's a God our hearts had to keep beating through it all. Africa has broken through phases of all forms of pain humanity can be crucified with, we're not over our scars but we never gave up.

In the 21st century, it's written we bloom now.

The internet exposed us, we've learnt from our forefathers, generations of knowledge, you can feel the change in the air.

In my experience I can see growth all over Africa in small doses with magnificent potential , art , fashion, technology, film, business, architecture, agriculture, business.

There's a culture which Africa has never had, a culture that creates an identity of taste and consciousness to interpret their own world in a view they've manifested.

Our traditions have guided us but now it's time to mould it into a revolution, a new age of Africans doing more than we've been caged to.

Our own world, our own system. To see the kids do the amazing things, Odunsi an Afro-fusion artist from Nigeria Africa reaching the billboard charts through Spotify, Ndela getting funding from Facebook, The Wedding Party breaking the box office through Nigerian cinemas, Waffles N Creams, Nigerians first skate shop getting their film on hypebeasts & CNNAfrica, more little stories like this seem vague but they spark change in aspects we've never given room, change across different sectors.

If you've ever felt a time to believe in something, if you've ever felt the urge to dream for the stars and believe you can literally go beyond, you can be beyond Africa , getting accepted now you're free.

This article is a message to the different frames and structures creating major changes to how we as Africans participate in the global growth of humanity, a message pushing us to keep doing whatever we dream and believe in.

There's a lot of messed up minds who won't allow this change to manifest, especially our governments which is why I urge more young Africans to be involved in structuring a new government for Africa.

We need to overcome the restrictions placed on limiting our ideas and plan a positive impact showcasing Africa full potential on a global stage, we have more tools. From SoundCloud helping spread our sound to a larger audience, information platform like CNNAfrica, OkayAfrica, Lucid Lemons, Pulse, helping to promote a more new age - Africa, Hacktons hosted by tech companies like Google or Facebook to inspire a more technologically aware Africa.

We need to search within and we'd find the amazing things new age minds from different countries Africa are doing.

Source out the information you need to fight through the rough path that comes with being an African with dreams of changing the world and conquering more than your idols.

We need to let the revolution to breath, the new age of Africa is the future.

The term "new age" is an emblem of our unity, we're all Africans, we're all one. To truly conquer all the demons surrounding our past we must come together and shine our lights as one.

New Age Africa is one of hope that creates a great impact of change and consciousness growing within every facet, we're shaping our own markets, ideas, ideals, values, companies and cultures. We're unified and stronger cause we are free to do all we want without limit or anyone caging our potential.

The facts might not be clear enough but it's written in this generations' soul, we're the kids of change and it's our duty to push the culture forward as the ones before us did.

We have more tools, tools of the Internet which gives us a global and connected reach with a pool of information to seek out the fears and lies we've been told to keep us at war within our self.

This article is one created from a mind reporting from the eyes of the new age. It's as real as it gets here.

Fresh air blows across Africa, new minds are coming out of their cages, expression not only their ambition but emotion, their pain and depression. The new age represents this to, a showcase or an expose of everything.

We need to understand the beauty of Africa, we've been underdogs for too long.

We've never been given a full vision but the new age is waiting.

We're reinventing everything we can get our hands on, we're giving our own narrative to the story we won't let the outside world control us anymore.

This is more of a wake up call to everyone in Africa with a purpose to fulfill.

It's time to rise and be glorious, listen to your heart and find a way to create the change you seek in Africa, never stop.

Use the platforms helping push this culture, help move them your aim forward. Start your brand, start your company, start your aim and get it done. This is the new age, this is the time to achieve and break boundaries.

I'll be working my way through the new age by exposing the minds, companies and creative/innovative content being created through a series of interviews and articles which will be curated by Pulse Nigeria.
