Singer takes mum to MAMA 2016
Yemi Alade's mother joined her to celebrate her winnings at the award ceremony recently held in South Africa.

Saturday, October 22, 2016 night marked a significant moment in Yemi Alade’s career.
The Johnny crooner won the award for the Best Female Act at the ceremony and played hosted alongside Nomzamo Mbatha and Bonang Matheba. She also gave a memorable performance which featured award-winning Kenyan group Sauti Sol. And her mother Helen Uzoma was there to witness it all.
When Alade was announced as the winner of the Best Female category edging out her Nigerian counterpart Tiwa Savage, Ghana's Mz Vee, Tanzania's Vanessa Mdee and Josey of Ivory Coast, her mother was on hand to back her up with her acceptance speech and gracefully joined her daughter on stage.
Following her performance with Sauti Sol, she gave a shout out to her mother.
The 2016 MAMA took place at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg.
