These are the top ten biggest Nigerian celebrities of 2015.

 

So the time is here for us to reveal the ten biggest celebrities of 2015.

It was a tough list but after much arguments and debates Pulse has come out with the most authentic and realest biggest celebrities of 2015 list.

1) D'BANJ- You can roll your eyes all you want but D'banj had 2015 locked down. Yes he is still lagging music wise but as a celeb he was hot. He started the year with an explosive interview with Olisa Adibua that trended on social media, then came the celebration of his 10th year in the music industry where he brought Amber Rose. And when it came to endorsements, D'banj nabbed deals with Ciroc and Slot. He was also part of the Bono led ONE campaign. On the music side he released a visual EP that featured Hollywood actor Idris Elba. D'banj also won the MTV MAMA Evolution award. Phew! What else? Yes he dated hot South African media personality Bonang Matheba which was covered extensively by many online sites. Their eventual split created a big fuss like their relationship. One more last thing he mended walls with Don Jazzy. D'banj was really busy in 2015.

2) OMOTOLA JALADE-EKEINDE - You can never count the Nollywood amazon out. Even without a movie this year, Omotola Jalade stole headlines this year. Omotola turned 37 in 2015 and marked her 20th year in the movie industry. She celebrated her milestone in Nollywood in February the same month her son blacked out at the US Embassy. Thankfully it wasn't a serious incident. In April she went to South Africa to start the ONE campaign which she was a major part of later on. The following month she landed an endorsement deal with Knorr alongside her daughter. She took shots at the 'trekking' trend during the election period, and decided not to endorse any party or politician. In June she attended the World Economic Forum in South Africa. Her humanitarian efforts also saw her at the African Union summit. Apart from creating a mini-riot at her alma mater Omotola nabbed another endorsement deal with Scanfrost. In 2015 she wasn't afraid to make political statements. She also made sure that she encouraged her kids in their various endeavours.

3) DAVIDO- The HKN act really had a busy year in 2015. The biggest story about Davido this year was his baby. After denying that he was not expecting a child, the singer made a turnaround and announced to the world that he had a baby girl called Imade Adeleke. In the music category it didn't get bigger than Davido collaborating with American rapper Meek Mill. The collabo got him into a bit of trouble when the NDLEA thought Davido brandished cocaine in the video. Yes he didn't drop his second album he dropped enough bangers in 2015. The pop star splashed enough cash on cars this year to start his own automobile shop, but he didn't forget the needy. He offered to pay the tuition for a Nigerian student abroad and a street beggar in Nigeria. Davido travelled a whole lot in 2015, meeting Future and Young Jeezy along the way. Thankfully Davido didn't lose his life when he was robbed in South Africa. And what a better way to end the year by performing with Wizkid on stage. Oh yes...Davido graduated from University in 2015.

4) TONTO DIKEH - Nollywood's bad girl continued in fine fashion of grabbing headlines. 2015 was going the normal way for her, arguing with luxury shoppers online, making controversial statements, and mysterious deep quotes on her Instagram account. Things changed for her when she shockingly announced that she had gotten married to her husband Olakunke Churchill. This was one of the most shocking entertainment news stories of 2015. Many didn't believe that Nollywood's bad girl could settle down. The story of her marriage was made up of super stories also. She first dissed actor Gideon Okeke, then denied she was pregnant only for it to be revealed that she was indeed pregnant. What a crazy year for Tonto Dikeh.

5)  BASKETMOUTH - Bright Okpocha hands down was the biggest and hottest stand up comedian in Nigeria for 2015. The funny man went on a North American tour where he took shots at the Nigerian government and several Nigerian singers. Basketmouth's buzz was so heavy in 2015 that the city of Houston made July 17 Basketmouth Day. His international exposure continued when Al-Jazeera and CNN profiled him. His Lord Ribs show was covered by Comedy Central. It doesn't get bigger than that comedy wise.

6.) DON JAZZY - The supreme leader of the Mavin Dynasty had another superb year as he helped established the careers of his newbie acts Di'Ja, Korede Bello and Reekado Banks. This year thanks to his guidance they landed endorsement deals with telco giant Glo. Don Jazzy wasn't left out of the endorsement spree too as he became the brand ambassador for Johnnie Walker. The gig as the brand ambassador made him meet Hollywood actor Jude Law. As usual Don Jazzy trended on social media with 'Judge Jazzy' being his latest Instagram caricature. In 2015, Don Jazzy's love life was on the forefront with his millions of fans wanting to know when he will be getting married. This year Don Baba Jay also re-united with his former partner D'banj.

7) WIZKID - The 'Baba Nla' of Nigerian pop music was globe trotting in 2015. His global moves this year saw him reportedly pen a chorus for Rihanna, and work in the studio with Cold Play front man Chris Martin. He also collaborated with Ty Dollar Sign and R. Kelly. His greatest accomplishment in 2015 however has to be 'Ojuelegba' remix featuring Skepta and Drake which opened several doors for him. Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Kylie Jenner all danced to the remix of the smash hit. Yes, he also switched from MTN to Glo for a reported sum of one hundred and fifty million Naira.

8) OLAMIDE -  2015 was a year of historic achievements for the YBNL boss. Early in the year he welcomed a baby boy by the name of Miliano from his longtime girlfriend. In April, he released the first mainstream collabo rap album with rapper Phyno called ''. Olamide also had sold out shows in London and Lagos. On the endorsement front, Olamide signed a deal with Naira Bet as the company's brand ambassador. He also renewed his deals with Etisalat and Guinness. Topping his remarkable run in 2015 he released his fifth studio album '' in five years.

9) ICE PRINCE - The Chocolate City rapper had a buzzing year. Early on in the year he released his Ice Prince continued with his power moves as he went to the Roc Nation office and met Hip-Hop legend Jay Z. Ice Prince's business moves helped him become the first African artiste on Tidal. Thanks to him, Jay Z's drink D'usse came to Nigeria. During the restructuring of Chocolate City, Ice Prince was made the Vice-President of the label. Ice Prince attended the Global Citizens Festival where he met a lot of international celebrities. He also hooked up with American music producer Ryan Leslie. Throughout the year the fashionable rapper was still with his beautiful girlfriend Maima Nkewa.

10) TOKE MAKINWA - The famous on-air-personality had an 'exciting' 2015. She opened up the year as the ambassador of Pay Porte. Continuing from where she stopped in 2015, Toke Makinwa was a delight to see on the red carpet of major events in the year. The news of her husband allegedly impregnating his mistress flooded the news, but it did not deter Toke Makinwa. Her popular blog raked in more views, and in June she was given an award by YouTube. In December she publicly reunited with her hubby.
