Why no one likes Stacey Dash

As Stacey Dash continues to hit at African-Americans and their struggle she is becoming a Boondocks character.

Stacey Dash

My first memory of American actress Stacey Dash was in the mid 90's. My late father who loved buying Hollywood movies on VHS for his kids brought home a movie called '' one day.

It was an African-American movie released in 1992 starring Damon Wayans, Marlon Wayans and the beautiful Stacey Dash. Of course Stacey Dash was the love interest in the movie and she was stunning to look at. She still is. I must have watched the movie over 30 times as a child, and even though I hardly saw Stacey Dash in movies again (she acts mostly in C-rated movies anyway) I never forgot her face or the soft way in which she speaks.

At the Oscars this year hosted by comedic genius Chris Rock, I shook my head in disbelief when Stacey Dash came on stage and was just standing there inexplicably and was a butt of Chris Rock's joke.

The two instances above (how I first knew about Stacey Dash and her baffling Oscar appearance early this year) sort of highlights her fall from grace to grass. At the beginning of her career Stacey Dash was a budding starlet to watch. Maybe she could have been as big as Halle Berry. Today Stacey Dash is far from being an Oscar winning actress. To many in the black community in America she is seen as a confused black lady.

At the BET Awards last weekend actor Jessie Williams gave a rousing speech about racism, oppression and equal rights and justice for black people in America. Apart from a few white conservatives who balked at Williams his speech was universally applauded. Well almost everyone liked his speech. Stacey Dash wasn't one of them.

"You’ve just seen the perfect example of a HOLLYWOOD plantation slave!" the 49-year-old actress wrote on her blog. "Sorry, Mr. Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what you’re talking about. Just spewing hate and anger" she further wrote.

This is just one of the eye-brow raising moments Stacey Dash has created in recent years. In January 2016, she slammed BET. According to her BET deceives black people. "BET lies to American black people by telling them that the rest of America is racist" she said. Let's also add that she thinks that Barack Obama is an Islamic fascist and Donald Trump is the saviour of America. With her view on race related issues it is no wonder that she is scorned by the black community.

There is no African-American celebrity out there that says nasty things about African-Americans than Stacey Dash right now. From a sexy hot actress she has turned into a hot mess, deriding her own people and making a mockery of herself.

She keeps hammering on the fact that blacks in America bring up racial tension with marches and protests but she never talks on the issues of racism, police brutality and oppression. No one likes Stacey Dash that much because she is regarded as a sell out in the African-American community.

Today she is similar to Uncle Ruckus on the now rested adult cartoon series . Uncle Ruckus the character hates black people and black culture so much that he is willing to do anything to get rid of the black kids in his neighbourhood. The ironic and laughable thing about Uncle Ruckus is that he is black also.
