It's time for Oritsefemi to stop playing games

Singer Oritsefemi has lost the plot and his career is now plagued with what he prefers to terms as 'publicity stunts'.

The latest news concerning Oritsefemi highlights the joke his career has become. Last month the self-titled Musical Taliban had his former manager popularly known as Danku arrested. The fight between the singer and the manager has lasted a few months but things supposedly reached the climax late last month.

The Nigerian Police Force arrested Danku (real name Yusuf Adepitan) for alleged theft and impersonation at a comedy show in Lagos. "It was life a Hollywood movie, they just stormed the red carpet and whisked him away" a source told NET.

On June 3, 3016 the story changed into something else. During a press interview Oritsefemi said "Our rifts have been in the news for the wrong reasons and lots of allegations we indicted on ourselves have cost lots of damage to our career. All the things that have been mentioned about me and my manager throughout the scenario are all promotional strategies a.ka publicity stunts. We apologize for the inconveniences we might have caused the fans. We are back for real business. My friends in the media, I thank you a lot for finding out time to grace this important parley. May God bless you."

Yes you read that right. Oritsefemi said everything that has gone down between him and his former manager were "publicity stunts." It is rather hard to wonder what is going wrong with his career at this point. Prior to the police arrest debacle, Oritsefemi was in a back and forth subbing episode with his former girlfriend.

And speaking of former lovers, Oritsefemi was involved in a bizarre Instagram drama with his girlfriend (who of course is now his ex) last year. On April 21, 2015 the singer revealed that his fiancée Blessing Rawa had leaked his private conversations to the public. Days later Oritsefemi came out to say it was a publicity stunt. Does that sound familiar?

The controversies surrounding Oritsefemi have coincided with a drop in the quality of his music. Obviously for the singer he has been seduced by the trappings of fame and wealth that he has taken his eyes off what really matters- good music. Oritsefemi is no longer an exciting singer to listen to. The spark in his music has gone and it has been replaced with Instagram drama and so called publicity stunts.

Oritsefemi needs to focus on his craft again. He is a good singer and a unique on as well. He has lost the plot trying to keep up with the Jones'.  He has to go back and remember who he was before the Lekki lifestyle messed with his head.
