Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) couldn't stop smiling as he caressed his pregnant  fiancé's belly at the Critic's Choice Awards, Sunday night, January 17.

The singer/actor, who lost out to Jesse Plemons from 'Fargo' for 'Best Supporting actor In A Movie Or Limited Series' (as Tin Man in 'The Wiz Live!), certainly looked like a big winner as he gently stroke Crystal Renay's growing baby bump on the red carpet.

The 36-year-old suited up for the star-studded event in a sharp black two-piece, crisp white shirt, black skinny tie and black shiny shoes.

But he directed the spotlight on to his fiancée, who proudly showed off her burgeoning belly in a form-fitting silver grey gown with a sheer lace bodice embellished with sparkly sequins. Crystal's long brunette hair was smoothed straight while her fringe sat on her eyebrows.

At the awards, Ne-Yo was up against his The Wiz Live! co-star David Alan Grier; Nick Offerman and Bokeem Woodbine from FX's Fargo and Raoul Trujillo in National Geographic Channel's Saints & Strangers. But they all lost out on the night to Jesse Plemons from Fargo.

Ne-Yo and Crystal announced they were expecting a happy event a few months after returning from a sun-soaked vacation in Hawaii last June where they celebrated their one-year anniversary as a couple.
