The actress, as her response to the ruling filed an appeal through her counsel, challenging the decision of the court.

She wants the court to reverse the N100, 000 fine it has ruled on, with an exemption of incarceration.

Her move prompted the Lagos State government to take the further to the High Court, which took the decision to sentence Ibinabo to 5 years imprisonment.

Presided by Justice Ndukwe-Anyanwu, a hearing designed to appeal against the judgment was held yesterday, January 28, 2016.
