Jaywon, Wole Ojo are a year older today

Jaywon has been nominated for several awards including the Nigeria Music Video Award (NMVA) for the best new video in 2009.

Jaywon, real name, James Oluwajuwonlo Edahi, was born June 6.

He grew up in Kogi and Kwara States and studied at the Federal Polytechnic Bida for his National Diploma before proceeding to Lagos enroute Abuja -where he completed his industrial training.

The 'This year' singer  broke into the music industry with a hit track 'File be'.

A singer/song writer, Jaywon is the self-tiltled The Royal Prince Of Afro Hiphop.

Born June 6, 1984, and a graduate of the Creative Arts Department, in the University of Lagos, Adewole Ojo's started acting at a tender age with his career as a professional actor starting at the age of nine.

In the 90's he featured in children's series;"Kidivision 101" and hit family sitcom "One Big Family" both which aired on NTA. This two engagements spanned across a period of six years.

He has also featured in a few television series which include; "The Maze", "Everyday People", "One Love", "This Life and Haven".

His debut stage performance (at age 11) was in commemoration of a children's day celebration at the NIIA (Nigerian Institute of International Affairs), sponsored by UNICEF.

He has since moved on to perform in works likes Wole Soyinka's "The Lion and The Jewel", Femi Osofisan's "Red is the Freedom Road", Ahmed Yerima's "Ade Ire" and many more.
