Osas Ighodaro turns a year older today

Ighodaro kicked off her film and television career in Nigeria in 2012.

Ighodaro was born and raised in New York in the United States of America. She made her move to Nigeria in 2012 back to push her TV and film career.

Osas made her debut on Nigerian television with TV series “Tinsel” where she played the role of Adanna. Most recently she starred in feature film “Gbomo Gbomo Express”. She has also starred in the Nigerian stage adaptation of “ For Coloured Girls”.

The actress has a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Pennsylvania State University and an MFA degree in Acting from the 'Actors Studio Drama School', New York.

On August 9, 2010, she won the Miss Black USA pageant competition. The beauty queen married actor Gbenro Ajibade on July 4, 2015 in New York. She welcomed a baby girl with her husband in June, 2016.

Ighodaro is the founder of Joyful Joy Foundation.
