Notorious female rapper finally turns a new leaf

Azealia Banks promises to change her ways, hopefully she sticks to her words and becomes a better person.

Azealia Banks

On June 10, 2016, Banks wrote an apology letter to her fans on her Facebook page. In the apology she vowed never to use a homophobic slur again. She started her apology by writing "Ok, i'm never saying the word F****T ever again. The amount of people that get hurt when i use the word vs. the amount of people i've said it to are just not worth it."

"By using those words i paint a picture of myself that isn't the true me. I paint the picture of my upbringings, my neighborhood, my pain, and my misfortunes... I paint the picture of someone who is used to suppressing things, and being defensive. I paint the picture of someone who cannot allow themselves to be vulnerable or at the very least, Happy.... When i am ALL of those things. I'm sweet, i'm kind, i'm caring, i'm generous, i love to make people laugh and above all of it, I LOVE ART" she further wrote.

She ended her apology note with a shout out to her die hard fans. "when i was a little girl i prayed to god that someone would come along and love me and my wish was granted 100fold. I cherish the #kuntbrigade SOOO FUCKING MUCH, you guys are my rock, I love you guys so much and all i want to do is make you proud."

I guess being pulled out from a festival gig and having your Twitter account suspended must have helped Azealia Banks realize that she cannot continue with her hate rhetoric. In her bad old days Azealia Banks was a menace who used her sharp tongue to cut down people and celebrities she wasn't feeling.

Azealia Banks once went in on a 14-year-old actress and went in on Rihanna and her music video 'Work'. You can say she has not had the most stable of careers. She used to go in on celebrities for no absolute reason. Now that she has changed we believe that this ugly episodes won't happen again.

One thing that is not certain is if Azealia Banks' infamous run-in with the law will stop too. In January 2016, she was investigated for beating up a security guard. In December 2015 she was arrested for biting a female security guard on her breast. These are just two examples of Banks' crazy behaviour.

Well now that she has apologized for bad behaviour we believe this is a clean slate of the female rapper who is highly talented but has stunted her growth because of her loud mouth.
