TV couple split after 2-year relationship

The couple's split has been blamed on upcoming projects which is said to have come between them making the pair spend more time apart than together.

Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll split

Amy Poehler and Nick Kroll have ended their two years relationship.

"Unfortunately, they just couldn’t make the relationship work with their schedules,” says one insider close to the 'Parks and Recreation' actress, 44, and 'The Kroll Show' star, 37.

The couple's split has been blamed on upcoming projects which is said to have come between them.  "They really tried, but it just wasn’t realistic anymore. They were spending more time apart than together," the source added

Kroll is the first man Poehler (she shares Archie, 6, and Abel, 5, with ex-husband) has had a relationship with since she and Arnett, 45, split in September 2012 after nine years of marriage. "She wanted a comedian who 'gets' her," a source explained to Us Weekly in May 2013, when news broke that Kroll and Poehler were dating.

Kroll attended a pre-Emmys bash on September 18 in Los Angeles and two days later, Poehler attended the awards show with pal Brooke Posch, her Paper Kite Productions partner.

"I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me. He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories. On one of our first nights together, I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out two earplugs he had worn to bed so he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen," Poehler opened up about their relationship in her 2014 memoir, Yes Please.
