'Mr Capable' celebrated with Wizkid on his birthday weekend, commenting on how he knew Wiz always had it in him to be successful.
Banky Wellington aka Banky W has penned down an emotional post of how proud he is of Wizkid and how he is also proud to be a part of the singer's success story.
Wizkid who was adding a year officially over the weekend on July 16, 2017 had just released his international debut project "Sounds From The Other Side."
And was having a launch party for the tape on Friday night July 14 in New York which Banky attended.
Banky wrote via Instagram on how he always knew Wizkid was born to be a music sensation on a global scale.
"Moments before @wizkidayo hit the stage at #sobsnyc to launch the new album, we were back there listening to him give this mini speech. And it was a special-and-kinda-emotional moment for me, because I remember where it all started from.. and I'm so grateful to God that the dreams are coming true.
We talked about this day from the get go. We believed it would come to pass. I saw it from the first day we met, and I'm so happy that the world sees what I always knew. This young man, my little brother from Ojuelegba was MEANT for this. He was MEANT to take over the world.
I knew it like I know my name. And I'm honoured that God chose me to play a small part in his journey to the top. And by God's grace, may the rest of his years be the best of his years.
May he grow with wisdom, may his talent and success know no bounds, and may God continue to use him to open the doors for African music on a global scale. Ayodeji Balogun, I always called you superstar from day 1 because I knew thats what you were meant to be.
The only person that can stand in your way is you. I love you, I'm proud of you and I will always pray for you. God bless and happy birthday lil brother. Now go forth and win forever."
Banky also showered praises on Wizkid's performance at the event, which Wizkid duly appreciated.
Wizkid was at Banky W's Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) from 2009 up until 2014 when he left to form his Starboy imprint.
Under EME he released two albums "Superstar" (2011) and "Ayo" (2014).
