WEF Africa 2016 Omokehinde to lead MasterCard team to event in Rwanda

Media reports reveal that Omokehinde Ojomuyide, vice president & area business head for West Africa, MasterCard will lead the team to Kigali, Rwanda and explore the MasterCard team’s work in Nigeria at World Economic Forum on Africa (WEF) 2016.

According to Nigeria CommunicationsWeek, MasterCard indicated the company’s interest to once again contribute by highlighting its commitment to developing cashless economies in Africa at this year’s World Economic Forum on Africa (WEF).

The WEF theme - Connecting Africa’s Resources through Digital Transformation - aligns with MasterCard’s approach to creating more inclusive payment ecosystems for all Africans, according to the company.

MasterCard will be taking a strong delegation to the Forum, one which will be led by its President for Middle East and Africa, Raghu Malhotra.

Also, Daniel Monehin will speak on  "Innovation as a New Driver of Growth in Africa" and highlight how the company is using big data in the merchant space at the Deloitte Business Breakfast.

For the FinTech session, Chris Bwakira will lead and drive a group dialogue on Delivering the promise of FinTech in Africa.
