The Twinpine Mobile Trends Report, which was released earlier this week, says 34.1% of Nigerians send money via shortcode, while 34.6% send money through their bank apps.

Get this though: 4% of mobile money transactions in Nigeria are used for paying tithes and offerings in Church. Nigerians sure love their religion.
The final key point though is that even though 57.4% of Nigerians say they've bought things online with their phones before, Criteo (via the Twinpine reports) reports that people actually do a lot more shopping via desktop than mobile on weekdays, and a similar amount of time on weekends.
