How to revive a dying business (Part 3 - Customer Relations)

Unfortunately, lots of businesses do not consider it important to have an active relationship with their customers or prospective customers.

- Customer Relations

The best form of advertising is "Word of Mouth". A satisfied customer will not only buy from you again but will also tell others about you.

Active customer relations doesn't mean maintenance or following up on product performance but building trust.

You can improve your customer relations by using the following tips.

1. Have A Customer Directory

This directory should consist of emails, social media handles and phone numbers of your customers. Your customer base should be growing by at least 25% every year for you to stay profitable.

You can offer free resources on your website or free tickets to events related to your niche, then make those interested sign up for them.

Ensure the free stuff you are offering is related to your niche, so as to ensure a rich customer base.

2. Send Them Freebies

In order to build trust between you and your customers, you must not be perceived as only interested in sales. Your prospective customer must believe you are truly interested in their welfare or that you are an expert in your field.

Now that you have them on your list send them free reports or links to great resources. The trick is to send to them cool free stuff that's not only related to your niche but also to the product you are marketing.

The free stuff should act as a springboard for you to introduce your product. You do not have to write anything, there are lots of free materials online you can share.

3. Inform them of new products or services even before they arrive. Explain to them how it would benefit them and offer discounts to those on your list.

Bulk SMS is getting ever cheaper and autoresponders can be used to handle your mailing.

NB:

- Do not oversell to your list.

- Do not bombard them with emails and text messages, keep your communications to a minimum.

4. Last but most important make sure your product or service delivers what is promised.
