CBN, NIBSS, others to represent at e-payment summit

Media reports confirm that the E-Payment Providers Association of Nigeria (E-PPAN) has unveiled a catalogue of high-profile speakers which includes top government and private sector executives who are expected to participate at this year's edition of the annual E-Government Summit.

The summit is the fifth in the series and will hold on September 27-28, 2016 at the NAF Conference Center, Abuja.

The summit will be hosted with the support of the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN) and NITDA as well as Galaxy Backbone (GB) Plc, Fidelity Bank Plc, Visa Inc, and Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS).

Regha Onajite, executive secretary and CEO of E-PPAN, said the two-day intensive dialogue session will bring together over 500 top decision makers in government and the private sector.

Onajite said the platform would offer stakeholders the opportunity to brainstorm and proffer solutions and proactive measures for government to generate and increase internally-generated revenue using  smart solutions while achieving transparency and accountability.

“The two days event will play host to a lot of top speakers including Boboyo Oyeyemi, Corps Marshal  and CEO of Federal Road Safety Corps,  who will be speaking on Data Integration and Analysis, for Strategic Economic Development alongside Mr. Oluseun Onigbinde, co-Founder/Lead Partner BudgIT.

“Also, Alhaji Yusuf Kazaure, managing director of Galaxy Backbone Plc,  will present a lead paper on ‘Smart Government Through Shared Services Model’ and Macauley Atasie, managing director of Nextzon Business Services, will also throw more light on the topic.

“Head Financial Inclusion Secretariat at Central Bank of Nigeria, Mrs. Temitope Akin-Fadeyi, will speak extensively on Adopting the Financial Inclusion Roadmap for Improved Economy and Good Governance together with the Divisional CEO, Interswitch Financial Inclusion, Mike Ogbalu III,” said Onajite, according to a report by Nigeria CommunicationsWeek.
