Reality Of Life [Writer's contest]

This is an entry for the Pulse writer's contest by Umunnah Joel. "...The concept of low self esteem is another aspect of life that affects those who refuse to see the beauty in their imperfection..."

Life

The harsh reality of life has forced the cowardly ones to give up and give in to what life has made available for them, and made the tough ones tougher.

Life itself is a broad topic with different aspects to its credit. As the experience of life makes you wiser, it can make other people foolish because the bitter truth is that we are not of the same background,  thinking and orientation.

The basic way to treat life is to assume anything that comes out of life for you is as a result of you previous actions or the present actions. The bad or good we experience today where laid down foundations either by our pre-decessors or ourselves, all still boils back to us.

Life could be harsh, lovely, a bed of roses, tiresome, engaging, and rather tasking, but the truth of it all lies in the point of view accrued to such scenarios. Being Negative about life may add negative aspects to our lives, and as well as being positive may be of an advantage.

Taking for instance, you went for a job interview, despite your qualifications, you observed that the applicants there are more experienced or connected than you, the best decision or conclusion reachable is to say that you possibly won't be employed, right from there, your body system adjusts to what you have convinced yourself to believe, its is 80% of a possibility that the job interview will slip through your fingers.

The concept of low self esteem is another aspect of life that affects those who refuse to see the beauty in their imperfection. The issue of low self esteem is a warring problem that can affect anybody at anytime we encounter things or situations that are better or shinier than our status. The beauty of self esteem lies basically in acceptance of the fact that no matter how your imperfections are/is you are still elegant and a magnificent creature in diaspora. Acceptance goes a long way to build self esteem and promote a healthy relationship with people. You may think you are too short, too black, too skinny, too tall, too poor etc, but that basically does not hamper with the fact that there is still a beauty inside of you. It is in this acceptance, that true inspirations come from and makes a better and upgraded you.

Some other issues in life is the concept of FEAR. Fear is the reason behind so many mistakes we make in life. Afraid that people will say something about our dressing, so we dress to suit them and discomfort our self. Like I said earlier on, the concept of happiness lies in acceptance and seeing the beauty that lies in your imperfection. Accepting that no one is more important than you, and anything that comes out of life affects only you, it goes a long way in developing self esteem and building confidence. Assume you find yourself in a scenario where you have #100,000 to spend, and your birthday is tomorrow. The acceptable situation is to spend money and celebrate it to your taste and let people do the talking of how great, awesome and cool you party was, but more things are more important to just enjoyment and friendship recommendations. A reasonable person will likely invest the money in a profit yielding business to increase the finance, because if you run bankrupt in the end of the celebrations, you will only have yourself to blame, and of course no one want to associate with a poor and bankrupt person.

The reality of life is of the fact that no matter the situation you find yourself, you will still have yourself in the end, either to blame or to praise for the decision you make.
