How to deal with negative/toxic people around you

These people suck the joy, life, and energy out of you and if you truly want to have a meaningful life, then it is time for you to take some critical steps.

Stay away from Toxic people

The first thing you want to do is to define people around you, ask yourself who is good/healthy and who is bad/toxic, Are these people really benefiting me? Are they building me up or tearing me down, this helps you figure out what is best for you and helps you create and enjoy the kind of life you want to have.

You then have to distant yourself and let go of that relationship which is not easy because these people are people you care about or used to care about but at the end of the day you have to make these changes trusting that they have got their own part and you have got yours. It is worth it.

The third thing you want to do is to begin to surround yourself with positive and empowering people because in the same way negative people bring you down is the same way positive people excite you, you are probably thinking it’s difficult for you to find people with that much positivity, If that’s the case, Then it’s time you begin to embody positive qualities you will like to see in people, That way, you get to attract positive people into your life because likes attract likes.

At the same time, you also nee to understand that some negative people aren’t aware of their negativity or how it can impact those around them and sometimes you need to challenge them by learning to neutralize toxicity using humor e.t.c.  Why?  Because toxic people are everywhere. You have to learn to change the way you respond emotionally and the way you mentally interpret someone's toxic behavior. However, ensure to cut ties whenever you can.
