This week's 'Game of Thrones' power rankings: Can you die and still be No. 1?

Here's who won the 'Game of Thrones' this week (and who lost), on season 7 episode 3.

When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.

Now that we're getting closer and closer to the end of the series, that powerful quote from Cersei back in season one (we were all so young!) is proving to be true.

Any week, anyone can go, and anyone can lose or gain a lot of power. And with great power comes great responsibility.

In "The Queen's Justice," there are significant power shifts, as Daenerys loses a major battle and Cersei gets her revenge (but ultimately gets owned in the final moments of the episode).

Every week, we'll round up who had the best week and who had the worst in our power rankings.

1. Olenna Tyrell

This week, Olenna Tyrell dies like she lived: effortlessly sticking it to her enemies with her biting words. Cersei is responsible for her death, but Olenna makes sure that she won in the end by letting Jaime know she was the one who murdered their son, Joffrey back in season four.

2. Samwell Tarly

Sam successfully cures Ser Jorah Mormont's greyscale without contracting the disease himself. It's a complicated procedure and all he did was follow the instructions which can be shockingly hard for men to do, especially men in Westeros.

3. Cersei Lannister

It seemed like Cersei would win the power rankings this week, until Olenna Tyrell confesses to Joffrey's murder.

In "The Queen's Justice," Cersei gets her revenge on Ellaria Sand, who killed her only daughter, Myrcella. Cersei also appears to form an alliance with the Iron Bank of Braavos (though their intentions could be misleading), and she successfully plays Daenerys and Tyrion for fools by abandoning her home of Casterly Rock in favor of taking Highgarden from the Tyrells, forever eradicating their bloodline.

Cersei is ranks high this week, but her selfish desire for power and thirst for violence indirectly resulted in the death of all her children and many more people. Also, her lack of interest in marrying Euron Greyjoy could lose her one of her only allies.

4. Jon Snow

Jon's meeting with Daenerys Targaryen doesn't go as planned, but thanks to the help of his old peeing-off-the-Wall buddy Tyrion Lannister, he gets what he came for: dragonglass to fight the White Walkers.

5. Euron Greyjoy

Euron had a great week, and a surprising roar of applause when he arrived in King's Landing. But no matter what he does, it seems that he'll never get what he wants most: Cersei.

Euron delivers Ellaria and Tyene Sand to Cersei. He emasculates Jaime, and takes out the Unsullied ships at Casterly Rock, leaving them stranded and surrounded.

But Cersei still doesn't want to marry him until the war is over, which could never happen, and she's probably leading him on.

6. Grey Worm

Grey Worm joins the power rankings this week because he survived when everyone thought he was a shoe-in to die. Grey Worm literally kills it this week ('it' being Lannister soldiers), but he quickly figures out the Unsullied were tricked into taking Casterly Rock.

7. Daenerys Targaryen

She sends the Unsullied into a dangerous situation, completely underestimating the Lannister's ability to strategize. And her stubborn nature clashes with Jon Snow's (it's all in the family!) as she lets her anger that he not in Dragonstone to bend the knee get the best of her, when she should just accept him as a powerful ally.

8. Tyrion Lannister

Tyrion underestimates his sister Cersei, perhaps blinded by his desire to get revenge on his father Tywin, who would not be happy if the son he hated so much took the Lannister home of Casterly Rock.

9. Jaime Lannister

Jaime wins a big victory at Casterly Rock without even being there. He also leads his army to take Highgarden, and gains a new ally in Randyll Tarly (a traitor to House Tyrell).

But Jaime also loses big this week. First, Euron makes it very clear that he intends to marry Cersei (and by default have sex with her). And in a power move, Euron asks Jaime what Cersei likes in the bedroom. And after Jaime kind of brags about how he convinced Cersei to give Olenna a clean, painless death, Olenna stabs a metaphorical dagger in Jaime's gut when she tells him that she killed Joffrey, not Tyrion.

10. Ellaria Sand

We don't see Ellaria Sand's daughter, Tyene die on screen. But Cersei poisons her with the same poison Ellaria used on Myrcella Baratheon, and makes sure that Ellaria will watch Tyene die slowly and painfully, and then watch the corpse rot in a grotesque act of revenge. A brutal, quick death isn't enough for Cersei at this point.

In messing with Cersei, Ellaria put herself in this position, and is this week's biggest loser.
