1. Uber reportedly paid hackers $100,000 (£75,500) to cover up a cyberattack that exposed the personal data of 57 million people.The data breach, which occurred in October 2016, was not made public until Tuesday when Uber published a blog post about the incident.

2. An Apple supplier has been accused of using illegal student interns to assemble the iPhone X. Foxconn reportedly drafted in a team of 3,000 students to help assemble the latest iPhones.

3. Meg Whitman is stepping down from the CEO job at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Whitman was recently identified as being in the running to be the CEO of Uber, though she ultimately did not get that job.

4. Apple acquired Vrvana, a startup building a headset that can do both virtual reality and augmented reality.TechCrunch reports the purchase price was around $30 million (£22.6 million).

5. Skype has been removed from Chinese iOS and Android stores. Apple said it's because China claimed the app breaks local laws.

6. TripAdvisor is under investigation from the FTC after it reportedly removed user accounts of rape and assault. TripAdvisor has since introduced a measure that allows a committee of employees to flag resorts that are deemed unsafe.

7. Pixar chief John Lasseter confirmed a leave of absence as accusations break of him inappropriately "grabbing, kissing." "It's never easy to face your missteps, but it's the only way to learn from them," Lasseter wrote in a memo.

10. The YouTube app is now back on Amazon's Echo Show. It has been redesigned and ditched the custom interface.
