On Tuesday, June 21, 2017, the company declared a “Force Majure” following a fault developed by the submarine cable system of the company in the Atlantic ocean, but the organisation has stated that the repair vessel is on its way from France.

The implications of this decision on business and operation of government are stated below.

It is expected the repair vessel will reach the Atlantic Ocean in the record time, and begin repairs.

The company, however, revealed that the repair works will take 14 days (2 weeks) before completion, but it will be providing services to its customers through the limited restoration capacity of its facilities.
