The two Nigerians stealing the spotlight in one of US TV’s hottest shows did an awesome Yoruba scene

The reboot which has been tweaked from its original 80's storyline has a new era of super rich battling for supremacy and intrigue in Atlanta.

The manouvering between the Carringtons and the Colbys has played out tediously but who would ever have thought that the Colby’s would be of Nigerian heritage.

In a sharp twist from the original, it turns out that billionaire techpreneur Jeff Colby played by Nigerian new kid Sam Adegoke and his father Cesil, played by veteran Hakeem Kae-Kazim are Nigerian and are playing a long game of vengeance against the Carringtons.

Episode 9 of the first season ends with Jeff (Adegoke) visiting his  father (Kae-Kazim) in prison and their plot to destroy their enemies is revealed when they speak in Yoruba to emphasise their determination.

Sam Adegoke was born in Lagos and only made his way in televison in 2015 after winning the third annual ABC Discovers: Digital Talent Competition.

Kae-Kazim has made a name playing villains in several films and television shows.
