These techpreneurs hold sway in Ghana

However, some insiders in the Ghanaian technology industry would argue that the ecosystem in Ghana has not yet grown to be called an "industry" but rather just a "technology scene".

But whether it is a scene or not, almost everyone can agree that there has been considerable growth over the years and with this growth some prominent persons have become deeply attached.

Here are some of the most prominent figures in the Ghanaian technology ecosystem;

1. Alloysius Attah - Farmerline

Alloysius is a co-founder of Farmerline, a technology startup from Ghana that builds mobile voice services to provide timely and improved agricultural information access and better communication channels for small-scale farmers.

2. Francis Obirikorang - Agrocenta

Francis Obirikorang is a technologist, writer and the CEO/Co-founder of Agrocenta which is an innovative platform in the agricultural technology space that eliminates exploitative buying from brokers/middlemen and connecting these smallholder farmers directly to an online market to trade equitably.

3. Fiifi Baidoo - iSpace

Fiifi Baidoo is the co-founder and CTO of iSpace Foundation. iSpace Foundation runs a technology hub in Ghana known to offer a co-working space, tools and facilities for entrepreneurs and startups to launch and manage their business ideas.

4. Nana Agyemang - Asoriba

Asoriba; The wonder startup that has been adjudged best in Africa

Nana Opoku Prempeh-Agyeman is the Chief Executive Officer of Asoriba - an application that sets out to empower churches across Africa. Nana Agyeman has been listed the most influential young Ghanaian in Technology for the year 2016, by Avance Media.

5. Curtis Vanderpuije - expressPay

Curtis is co-founder and CEO of expressPay, a leading fintech company in Ghana enabling real-time money transfer and seamless consumer – merchant payments. Over the years, his company, expressPay has championed cashless transactions in Ghana.

6. Dominic Mensah, Prince Boakye Boampong, and Jesse Arhin Ghansah - OMG Digital

Dominic, Prince and Jesse are the triumvirates who founded OMGVoice - which has been called "Buzzfeed for Africa" by many publications. OMGVoice made a splash in 2017 when they raised $1.1 million in seed funding.

7. Priscilla Hazel, Cassandra Sarfo, and Esther Olatunde - TressApp

8. Ethel Cofie - Women in Tech

Entrepreneurship - Creating success systems - Start Up School

Ethel is a leading tech entrepreneur from Ghana and the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Edel Technology. She has been celebrated across Africa for her work with Women in Tech Africa, her NGO to support women in ICT.

9. Edem Kumodzi - StoreFoundry

Edem is co-founder and CEO of StoreFoundry. Though relatively known, StoreFoundry is a platform that allows merchants based in Ghana to set up a store online in a very simple and intuitive process. Over the years the company has introduced brands to e-commerce and hopes to do more in coming times.
