only industrialized nation which doesn't mandate paid leave for mothers of newborns, though some private companies offer the benefit to new moms. Now, paternity leave — or the all encompassing parental leave — seems to be catching on as a concept.

Coca-Cola, American Express, and EY all offer paid parental leave. At Facebook,

"At Facebook, we offer four months of maternity and paternity leave because studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, it's good for the entire family. And I'm pretty sure the office will still be standing when I get back," he wrote on Facebook.
