Greece always gets to go first at the Olympic opening ceremony, and there's a historical reason why.

The 2018 Winter Olympics officially kicked off with the opening ceremony in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

As has become tradition, the ceremony starts with a celebration of the host country, followed by the parade of athletes. And once again, Greece was the first country introduced due to their historical importance to the games.

The order of the parade of nations at every Olympics is as follows.
