The underdogs, Super Eagles awe fans as they win international friendly match ahead of 2018 FIFA World Cup.
It was the Argentines who took the lead after 27 minutes, with Banega curling his free-kick home with cool skill and composure. The advantage was doubled by the La Albiceleste as Nigeria allowed Aguero time and space in the box to tap in the second goal.
Argentina maintained a performance and pace Nigeria could not match in the first half of the game. And the Eagles' defence struggled to hold their position and poise.
However, the Super Eagles carved out a lifeline in the dying embers of the first half as another direct free-kick hit the back of the net. This time it was Kelechi Iheanacho with the death instinct that ignites some spirit in the team before the half time break.
Aguero was substituted at half-time as Argentina shuffled the pack, but it was Nigeria that grabbed the impetus to level the match.
Another hero of the match is Alex Iwobi, who slid his strike into the bottom corner. This helped trigger a remarkable collapse for the South Americans after 52 minutes. With little time to shake off Nigeria's comeback, Argentina conceded another goal just two minutes later with a strike from Brian Idowu.
Alexi Iwobi combined with Musa to score his country's fourth goal of the night, as Argentina's defence appeared stunned by the unfolding turn of events.
With Aguero out of the pitch, Nigeria went for the Argentina's throat and their tactics once again gave them success.
This win boosts Super Eagles' confidence ahead of Russia 2018. More so, it is expected that all would be done to keep the spirit and team work.
