Africa's richest man wants to sack Arsene Wenger from Arsenal

Wenger has been at the helm of the club since 1996

The richest black man in the world is a keen supporter of London based Premier League Arsenal but not its long serving manager Arsene Wenger.

Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote is a well known supporter of the Gunners and has at times been linked to an interest in purchasing a stake in the team but is getting fed up with the team’s long wait for a league title.

According to Bloomberg, Dangote thinks the club needs a new person at its helm.

“The first thing i would change is the coach. He has done a good job but someone else should try his luck.”

Dangote, recently ranked 93rd on Forbes’ Billionaire Lists with a value of $12.2billion also told Bloomberg, he would have no difficulty convincing Arsenal’s two largest shareholders,American billionaire Stan Kroenke and Russian Alister Usmanov to part ways with the club once he has concluded construction of his $12billion refinery in 2019.

“If they get the right offer, I'm sure they would walk away. Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider  walking away, and when we finish the refinery ,I think we will be in a position to do that.”

“It’s a great team,-well run. It could be run better,so i will be there.I will wait. Even if things change i will take it.”
