How Nigerians react to President Buhari’s sacking of SGF and DG, NIA

Nigerians have expressed mixed feelings about the government's late decision on the corruption charges against the government officials.

Nigerians have taken to social media to express dissatisfaction and reservation as President Muhammadu Buharis sacking the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Babachir David Lawal and the Director General, National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ambassador Ayo Oke.

The statement relieving both government officials was released on Monday, October 30, 2017 by Mr Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Many Nigerians have expressed displeasure about the late decision to carry out the recommendation of the committee set-up to carry out the investigation. The committee headed by the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, had recommended for both officials to be sacked. People saw the indecision two months after the committee submitted its report as hesitation.

More so, the Federal government was reminded of some corruption allegations it should have taken a swift action(s) on.

The cases of Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President, and Mainagate also received more mentioning as the next nut to be cracked by President Buhari.
