Chiba was arrested by police officers from Ruiru Police Station and later released on a Sh10,000 police bail.

He was on Monday arraigned before Kiambu Senior Principal Magistrate Stella Atambo where he was represented by lawyer Harun Ndubi.

Ndubi complained that his client was brought to court on defective charges and successfully convinced the magistrate to postpone the plea on Tuesday.

Brookside Dairies, who is the complaint, accused the journalist of trespassing on private land, which is against section 3 (1) (11) of the trespass Act Cap 294 of laws of Kenya.

The court allowed the photojournalist to be released on a Sh10, 000 bail on condition that his passport was deposited in court.
