Harnessing opportunities, productively & employment to actualise the ERGP

In spite of the steps taken to mitigate the effects of the recessed economy, citizens still live under the burden of making ends meet.

The Economic Recovery Growth Plan is the first step in navigating these mucky waters we find ourselves and it behooves the government to focus its attention on developing frameworks and models to encourage investment, unlock capital flow and create job opportunities for the growing workforce.

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) is an Organization committed to the sustainable development of the Nigerian economy, and is revered for its impact on public policy and objective research. In 2016, the NESG held its 22nd annual summit with the theme “Made in Nigeria’’ with primary discourse on the need for the country to increase productivity across sectors.

On October 10 – 12, 2017, the NESG would host the 23Nigerian Economic Summit (#NES 23) with the theme “Opportunities, Productivity & Employment: Actualizing the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan”. This year’s Summit would seek to explore how best to map economic opportunities, establish a reviewed national agenda and outline national job deficits with a view to unlock capital flow that creates job opportunities. In addition, the Summit would host its first ever Startup pitching event which would provide a platform for businesses to pitch ideas and access funding from venture capitalists and investors.
