A few habits you need to stop doing to your hair

Have you ever thought about some everyday habits that might be hindering the perfect result you’ve been longing for

Stop-Breakage-and-Damage-to hair

Most ladies think it is completely impossible to prevent hair damage just because you don’t have a ton of hair or you have suddenly given up on trying to have the perfect hair texture and growth. Have you ever thought about some everyday habits that might be hindering the perfect result you’ve been longing for? They are few things you should probably definitely stop doing to your hair.

1. Brushing Too MuchContrary to popular belief, 100 brush strokes a night is actually pretty terrible for your mane. It breaks and pulls out unnecessary amounts of hair. Just a few strokes to untangle will do.

2. Rubbing Your Wet Hair with a TowelA recipe for frizz. Post-shower hair should be gently squeezed with a towel--not wrung out.

3. Avoiding HaircutsIf you want your hair to grow faster and look healthier, keep it trimmed.

4. Wearing a Ponytail or Topknot Seven Days a WeekConstant pressure to the same place in your hair shaft can weaken it over time and, believe it or not, stunt growth.

5. Sleeping in Either of ThoseFull disclosure: This is your personal weakness and also why you’re crying to your stylist.

6. Brushing Hair While WetWide-tooth combs--used gently--only.

7. Letting Your Styling Tools Get GunkyYour brush, dryer, flat iron and curling tools can actually accumulate a decent amount of bacteria. Make sure to wipe them clean with an antibacterial cloth every so often (obviously when cool).

 8. Combining Hair Spray and Your Hot IronThe alcohol in most hair sprays burns when it comes into contact with heat. Apply a thermal protector before hot ironing and then fire the hair spray only afterward.

9. Setting the Heat Too High A safe range for your flat iron is between 250 to 300 degrees (which is generally the low or medium setting). Curly-haired ladies: Patience, not higher heat, pays off.

10. Washing Your Hair Every Daydaily washing removes hair’s natural oils and proteins, which can dry it out. It’s best to give your tresses a break every few days (i.e., washing it only when it’s actually dirty). Squelch root grease with dry shampoo.
