The show was curated by Alison Stevenson, comedian and writer and Elizabeth Vazquez, filmmaker and artist seeks to normalize a sex act that is still regarded as taboo by many people.
Stevenson writes a column about lady issues on Vice and she finds cunnilingus has a topic of interest; she writes and tweets about it a lot.
Stevenson published a Vice column titled 'Why I Don’t Give Blowjobs', in March 2015. The article addressed the fact that performing oral sex on men is viewed as standard protocol, doing same for women is seen as a privilege.
To drive home the point, she organised this art show, collaborating with artists such as Frances Canon, Fahren Feingold, and Priyanka Paul, to show that performing oral sex on women is pleasurable and beautiful.
The exhibition opened on Saturday August 20, 2016 and closed on Sunday, August 21, 2016. It held at Junior High gallery, Hollywood, Calif.
