Leaders of the Lagos Island chapter of the African Women Honors and Empowerment had an EmpowerHer brunch in celebration of the International Women's day on Wednesday, March 8th 2017 at Otres Restaurant in Lekki.

The EmpowerHer brunch celebrated 3 very accomplished Women, Chief Mrs Elizabeth Agom, the former Director of Finance at the Nigerian Airspace Management Authority; Chief Mrs Nike Okundaye of Nike Art Gallery, a prominent global arts icon; and Nigerian female football star, Ebi Onome of the Super Falcons.

The owner of Otres restaurant, Orode Okpu was also celebrated at this Women's day event for her exceptional business acumen.

On behalf of the executive leaders, Elizabeth Okogun and Bukky Ashafa thanked the women for their courage and for being a role model for many young women. Everyone left the ceremony with a zeal to do more for underprivileged women and girls. The organisation has over 30 chapters in Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and America.
