Lights, Camera Africa!!! film festival kicks off this September

Lights, Camera Africa!!! 2015 is arguably the biggest film festival in Africa that assembles top film directors from all over the continent to showcase their most recent works.

 

September through October is set to witness a showcase of some of the finest films as the 'Lights, Camera, Africa!!!' film festival kicks off this year with the title 'Future Forward'.

Future Forward will see an assembly of bold and energetic pieces of African and independent cinema that portray the intrepid, can-do African spirit and will hold on 30th September to 4th October 2015 at Federal Palace Hotel Lagos.

This year's festival will feature  family and educational offerings through workshops, panel discussions, talks and family-friendly programming.

There will also be visual, literature and musical showcases, fun after-parties and the very popular Festival Souk during the 5-day fiesta.

The film programme at The Life House and Lights, Camera, Africa!!! Film Festival will be held in partnership with the African Film Festival New York.

Also partnering with the The Life House and Lights, Camera, Africa!!! Film Festival is the Ford Foundation, Goethe Institut, the Royal African Society (RAS) London, Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), British Council, Alliance Française, Film House, VAN Lagos and The New Black Film Collective.

There is also the support of scholars, directors and personalities like Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, Tunde Kelani, Toni Kan O.C Ukeje, and Jahman Anikulapo amongst others.
