Another case of honour killing has resurfaced in India, a country which is considered as the harshest place in the world for women, as two brothers, angry and ashamed that their 17-year-old sister was in love with a cousin, decided to behead her and parade their village with the head, according to the police.

A 17-year-old Indian girl has been murdered by her brothers in a case of honour killing.
The ugly incident happened relationship in a remote village in the southern part of the town when the two brothers, Nanhe and Gul Hasan, conspired to kill their sister, Phool Jehan.
At least a dozen people watched as the teenager was dragged out of her house, beaten and beheaded by her brothers but did not inform the police, officer Rajesh Singh said.
The police say they have been unable to find the two brothers whose ages were not given, were probably older than the girl.
After beheading Jehan, Nanhe and Gul left their sister’s body in the street and roamed around the village with her head, shouting that they were against the relationship, Singh said.
